The eight questions prospects ask most often. Honest answers in advance so the discovery call can stay on the actual problem.

Do you work with clients outside the UK?

Yes. The studio is headquartered in Teesside, UK, but we ship work for clients across Europe, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Most active projects involve clients we never sit in a room with — we run async-first by default and stretch into US East and AEST hours when an active project demands it.

What size projects do you take on?

Anywhere from £4,000 (a focused piece of system integration or a single dashboard) up to £150,000+ for a full platform build. Below £4k we can't do work we're proud of and we'll point you somewhere better. Long-term partner engagements (12 months+) are discounted around 30%.

How quickly do you reply?

Within 4 working hours. GMT working hours by default; US East and AEST coverage during active international projects. The founders read every inbound personally — there's no junior intake process or automated triage.

How do you price?

Fixed price, fixed scope. Every proposal arrives within five working days of the discovery call with three options — small, medium and large — each carrying a fixed price, fixed scope and fixed timeline. Decline any of them at no cost. We don't do "time and materials" because it punishes the team that ships fast.

What technologies do you ship in?

Laravel, Next.js, TypeScript, React, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Three.js, Shopify (including Hydrogen), WooCommerce, WordPress. We pick boring technology your three-years-from-now team will still understand, then push it harder than the marketing pages suggest.

Are you a one-stop shop or do you specialise?

Specialised by stack and shape, not by industry. We do four things: custom dashboards, system integrations, ecommerce engineering and bespoke platforms. We turn down white-label agency work, projects without a single decision-maker, pre-revenue startups and anything in crypto/web3/gambling.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes — happy to sign mutual NDAs before discovery if your team needs that to share context. We'll send our standard mutual NDA over after the call is booked, or use yours if you have one ready.

Can we hire you for ongoing engineering support after launch?

Yes — that's actually most of our active book. Long-term retainers cover anything from "keep the lights on" through to ongoing feature work. The 12-month engagement discount makes the maths add up properly for both sides.
